Ellie Prempeh
Two Girls aged Three and Ten Months
Hi !!
I'm Ellie, I am a working mum to two beautiful little girls. The reason behind starting My Mum-Unity comes from my personal experience of 'losing myself' after having my first baby. My days would revolve around soft plays, play-groups and days out. These are amazing but I began to forget what I liked. When chatting to friends this became a common theme, so we decided to launch My Mum-Unity.
In 2023 while 36 weeks pregnant my husband became unwell and needed open heart surgery. I have the most amazing family & friends but unfortunately, they all still have to work full-time or live away. The real heroes that stepped up during this time were my Mum friends. The ones that made my children a packed lunch, picked them up from school, took them for days out & just loved them. Those Mum friends are the reason my kids didn't realise anything had happened and I got to be with my husband without worrying about my kids. I'm hoping by creating My Mum-Unity I can encourage & help people form these new Mum friendships over good food and coffee!

Liv Askew
One Girl aged Three.
Hi !!
I'm Liv, I am a working mummy to Orla. When Ellie spoke to me about forming My Mum-Unity I knew I had to be a part of it! My Partner works away for 3-6 months of the year and my Mum friends are my support network during this time. They help me combat the loneliness, help with childcare, nursery pick-ups and invite us over for dinner.
My Mum friends provide me with love, sanity, care and compassion. They love my child like she's their own.

My Mum-Unity is for caregivers to be able to build relationships with other caregivers to make bringing up children that little bit easier. It's also a space for parents to be able to come and enjoy good food and coffee instead of having to pick from the soft play menu.
